Tibido Horatio is Now Ready for Adoption

He has been to the vet, is micro-chipped, had all the necessary shots, and is ready for adoption. He is now indoors where he always wanted to be and he has met his fellow critters (four dogs and one cat) and had no reaction to them.

Oh, and yes, we finally confirmed that he is a he... or was. Now he is neutered.

We'll put up more photos when we can so stay tuned... and apply to bring this guy home with you at:

Hello Folks -

We have here a Blog for the cat that adopted us. He showed up on our patio and has remained with us for several weeks. Ever since his arrival he has acted like a cat that wants to be inside. But we've not allowed it yet for several reasons (diseases, house full of dogs, plus an indoor cat already). We decided that we needed to help him find a home. The nice folks at A New Leash on Life have graciously brought Horatio into their program.

We say "he" because we are not really sure what "he" is. This Tuesday he goes to the veterinarian for a checkup and spay/neutering. We'll certainly know more then. Once we have all the proper vet care completed Horatio will come inside. Let the adventures begin!

Now, to his personality -

When you walk outside the immediate sound you hear is a purring meow. Then the black and white long haired cat comes bounding from nowhere his yellow-orange eyes twinkling with delight at the sight of a friendly hand. He wraps his tall skinny form around and weaves between and about your legs, his purr vibrating the happiness he feels. He loves attention, perhaps more so than the average cat. His favorite thing is lying down and being petted but that doesn't mean he is a stranger to fun. Every once-in-awhile he will roll over on his back and swat playfully at your hands. Sometimes he will just run around attacking the grass with a free wild look in his black pupils. He will even play soccer.

He also is patient with the animals from inside the house. Our three big dogs try to stare him down, and they all strain to check him out. He seems wary of this attention but has only told them to back off once with a hiss. He is even ambivalent to the rantings of the indoor cat. He will sit at the back door windows looking inside and the indoor cat will come up and try to attack him through the glass. He gives her one bored glance and continues to rub himself up on the door. Even the time when they both were outside and were only inches from each other and the indoor cat hissed, he still remained calm.

Overall Horatio is one of the most well behaved cats you will ever meet. He melts into your arms when you pick him up and never tries to scratch. Even when the removal of a tick is called for he is patient. He is a mischievous gentleman wanting to be invited into a home.

So, please, won't you give him a loving home?
